and yes you read that right, I’ve exclusively used Sabbia Co skincare for over 6 years
If you've followed me for a while, Sabbia Co probably needs absolutely no introduction because I've been using them for over six years now 😂
And when I say using them, I don't mean they sent me a skincare range three weeks ago and suddenly it's “OMG you guys, I'm obsessed.”
Six. Years.
It actually started with their reusable makeup remover pads, long before my bathroom cupboard slowly became a little curated collection of Sabbia products.
a little backstory on my skin
I've had hormonal acne for years.
Before finding the products that work for me now, I spent probably 10 years trying what felt like everything.
Expensive skincare. Cheap skincare. Huge routines. Tiny routines. Whatever ingredient the internet had decided was going to change my life that month.
I genuinely couldn't tell you how much money I spent over those years, but it would easily be in the thousands.
And honestly? I think one of the hardest parts was that I had no bloody idea what I was doing.
There were SO many products, ingredients and opinions. I'd buy something because someone said it was amazing, add another product because apparently I needed that too, and eventually have a bathroom full of things without really knowing what my skin actually liked.
then Sabbia Co slowly snuck into my bathroom
The funny thing is, I didn't switch my entire skincare routine to Sabbia Co overnight.
It started with their reusable makeup remover pads, then I tried something else, and something else, and over the years, I've ended up with this little collection of products that I genuinely love and actually use.
That's probably why I still recommend them six years later. Nothing had to convince me to overhaul my entire routine. The products just slowly earned their place.
my skin now
I'm 35 now and, somehow, I genuinely feel like my skin looks brighter, healthier and more youthful than it did at 25.
I don't have injectables, so for me skincare is one of those things where I've really noticed what consistently looking after my skin over time has done.
Is my skin perfect? Absolutely not 😂 I still have a little hormonal acne during my period. I still get breakouts. My skin still has texture because, shockingly, I am a human woman with pores.
But I understand my skin SO much better now, and my routine feels simple rather than overwhelming.
And that is worth a lot to me after spending so many years throwing random products at my face and hoping for the best.
Something I didn't fully appreciate when I first started using Sabbia Co is how much thought goes into their formulations.
Sabbia Co describes its approach as bridging plant-based ingredients with cosmetic science, using naturally derived plant extracts while avoiding a long list of ingredients they choose not to formulate with, including silicones, parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, fragrance and synthetic colours.
They're also really conscious of sustainability, including refillable and lower-impact packaging and transparency around their formulations.
I love all of that.
But if I'm being completely real, the reason they've stayed in my bathroom for six years is much simpler:
My skin likes them, I enjoy using them, and I actually finish the products. 😂
That's generally my test these days.
why I love Sabbia Co, even after all these years
